BSC Hires Coach Marv Pedersen to Lead the Mystic Women's Basketball Team

Bismarck State is excited to announce long-time teacher and coach Marv Pedersen has been hired to lead the Mystic women's basketball program at Bismarck State College. The Flasher, ND, native recently retired from Mandan Middle School where he taught for 23 years. Involved in coaching for his entire 29-year career, Marv spent six years as head boys' basketball coach at Solen, fifteen years as assistant boys' and girls' basketball coach at Mandan High School, one year as head girls' coach in Mandan, and one year as an assistant women's coach at BSC.

Pedersen was instrumental in helping the Mandan High School girls' basketball team to win nine ND State Class A Championships before stepping down to follow his daughter's collegiate basketball career.

Marv has been married to his wife, Cindi, for 34 years and they have three children and two grandchildren. He is also involved in their family business, Northern Trophy and Silk Screening, Inc. Pedersen is looking forward to the opportunity to return to coaching the Mystics at Bismarck State.
