ReeAnn Mehus and Justin McCloud were selected for the first ever Ed Kringstad Athlete of the Year awards. This award will be bestowed annually to one female and one male athlete who embody superior athletic and academic standards throughout their careers at Bismarck State College. Congratulations ReeAnn and Justin!

The Ed Kringstad Athlete of the Year Award was established to honor longtime Bismarck State College Hall of Fame wrestling coach and athletic director, Ed Kringstad, who passed away May 4, 2013. Ed touched many lives, not only at BJC/BSC as a coach, administrator and dance instructor, but also as a champion for the state of North Dakota and the community he served as a ND State Senator. To those who had the privilege of knowing Ed, his legacy is that of a considerate man, generous spirit and dear friend.

There will be an award display in the foyer of the BSC Armory.
