The Mystic basketball teams will host this annual classic tournament dedicated to the memory of Lane Johnson. Lane was a Bismarck State College student-athlete from Washburn, North Dakota. Lane played basketball for Coach Buster Gilliss from 1994-1996 and served as the assistant coach for the women’s basketball program for two years.
Lane is remembered as the “big guy” with a “big heart”. Lane was a loving son, brother, and father who touched the lives of many people from all walks of life. His smile, humor, friendliness, and powerful handshakes will be remembered forever.
