Peter Sitorius Hired as Assistant Baseball Coach for the Mystics

BSC Athletic Department, along with Coach Michael Keeran, are pleased to announce Peter Sitorius has been hired as assistant baseball coach for the Mystics.

Coming from Division II Eckerd College, Sitorius helped coach the program to their first SSC Championship since 1981 and first postseason appearance in 32 years. He also coached four MLB draft picks.

In the summer of 2017, Sitorius played and coached in the Ozark Generals M.I.N.K. League and helped lead them to a South Division Championship. In the summer of 2018, he was the assistant coach for the Albert Lea Lakers in the Pioneer Collegiate League and helped lead his team to a regular and postseason championship where he coached two MLB draft picks.

During his playing career, Sitorius was a four-year starter at Nebraska Wesleyan University (2012-2016), where he has a .290 career batting average with 19 doubles and 42 RBIs. Sitorius earned a Bachelor's of Sports Management from Nebraska Wesleyan in 2016 and earned a Master's in Professional Studies from Missouri State.

"Having coached with Pete in Albert Lea, we are excited to work together again. Pete will be leaned on with recruiting duties, as he did a nice job at Eckerd and is extremely familiar with Legion baseball up here and in the Midwest being an Omaha, Nebraska, native. He will also be able to help our current and future players with the connections he has in the Midwest and down south to help get our guys to a variety of four-year programs. He has had the opportunity to coach with some pro coaches down in Florida and he brings that wealth of knowledge with him. Coach Sitorius will work with the infielders and catchers, as well as help with hitting. We are excited to hit the ground running for the 2021 season when we get back in the fall" - Coach Michael Keeran
