Late Heroics Keeps Winning Streak Alive

Bismarck State College’s baseball team extended their impressive winning streak to eight games today, taking two games on the road from Lake Region State College. The Mystics showcased their dominance in game one with a commanding 10-2 victory, followed by a nail-biting 7-6 win in game two, highlighted by late-inning heroics.

In the opening game, the Mystics’ offense was in full force, with standout performances from Will Bachman, Wyatt Tweet, and Tate Mart, who each contributed home runs to secure the win.

The second game would put the Mystics’ winning streak to the test. Cooper Stahlman’s perfect 4-4 performance at the plate, including a critical go-ahead home run in the 7th inning, helped spark the team to the victory. Relief pitcher Kyle Odenbach, recently named Mon-Dak Pitcher of the Week, stepped up to earn the win.

The Mystics have a record of 23-5 overall, and 15-3 in conference.

The Mystics continue on the road as they travel to face North Dakota State College of Science on Saturday, April 20.
