Mystics Advances in Mon-Dak Conference Tournament with Double-Header Sweep

Bismarck State College baseball team triumphed over Dakota College of Bottineau in back-to-back games to advance in the Mon-Dak Conference Tournament. The Mystics secured victories with scores of 5-2 in game one and 7-1 in game two.

In the opening game of the double-header, pitcher Kyle Odenbach delivered an outstanding performance, pitching six innings, striking out six, and allowing just two runs. Reliever Matthew Porter sealed the win, pitching three innings, allowing only one hit and zero runs, earning the save. Offensively, Andrew Niaves stood out, going 2-3 with a home run and driving in three runs.

The second game saw pitcher Kayden Camacho take the mound and dominate the Jacks’ offense, pitching five innings, allowing only one hit and no runs, and earning the win. Jared Bendfeld powered the offense, going 2-4 with a home run. Will Bachman and Andrew Niaves each added two hits and an RBI, rounding out a team effort that led to the 7-1 victory.

The Mystics have a record of 31-8 overall, and 22-3 in conference.
