Mystics Sweep The Weekend

Mystics Sweep The Weekend

Bismarck State College’s baseball team started the weekend with a two game winning streak, but ended it with a six game streak, as they would take two games from Dawson Community College in Glendive, then return home to finish the four-game sweep.

The Mystics would start the four-game series in Glendive, MT where they would take the first two games of the series 5-3 and 5-1. Kayden Camacho would stand out on the mound for the Mystics in game two, going six innings, allow only one run, while striking out five.

Coming back to Bismarck for day two of the series would result in two more wins for the Mystics. They would jump on Dawson in game on, delivering a 13-3 victory. Eight Mystics’ hitters would drive in at least one run, while seven different Mystics would cross the plate.

The second game on Sunday would be a pitchers dual, as the Mystics would come out on top 1-0, thanks to a stellar performance by Carson Zimmel. Zimmel would pitch a complete game, seven innings, allowing only one hit while striking out 18 hitters.

The Mystics have a record of 14-4 overall and 7-3 in conference.

The Mystics will go on the road to face the University of Jamestown JV on April 9 and then continue on the road to face Dakota College at Bottineau on April 12.
