The KyJuan Johnson sweepstakes are over and Bismarck State is the big winner. The Mr. Basketball runner-up from Minot High has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball next season for the Mystics. Johnson, a 6' point guard, recently named to the Class A All-State First Team and State A All-Tournament Team, led the Magicians to their third straight State Class A Championship. He averaged 16.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game this past season.
Coach Gilliss is extremely excited to sign a player the caliber of KyJuan. "KyJuan was exactly what we were looking for at the point guard position. Coming from a solid and successful program, he should make a seamless transition to the college game. KyJuan, and recently signed Rodrigue Tha Andela, were two of the main pieces we targeted in the process of rebounding the program".
