Mystics Try To Best Thunderbirds in Battle of Bismarck Schools

Bismarck State College men’s basketball team would need to overcome the relentless full court pressure from United Tribes Technical College if they wanted to win the battle of Bismarck schools. Early in the second half, the Mystics would take the lead, but wouldn’t be able to hold on to the lead, and would fall 89-78.

The Mystics scoring would come entirely from the starting five, with Kennez Bozeman leading the way with 23. Bozeman would also pull down 10 rebounds to complete one of two double-doubles for the team. Hussein Elmaraghy would have the other double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Gavyn Strand would contribute to the team with 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Garrett Bader would be the fourth Mystic to score in double digits, adding 15 points.

The Mystics have a record of 8-13 overall and 3-9 in conference. Next the Mystics travel to take on Miles Community College on January 28.
