The Bismarck State College track and field team has been busy recently, as multiple athletes have achieved personal bests, resulting in the breaking of some school records.

For the women’s team, Aliya Schock set school records in both the 100 meters and the 200 meters in the recent Dr. Tom Johnson Open meet, and set the school record in the 400 meters at the Yellow Jackets Open. Her time in the 100 meters was 12.70, while her school record 200 meter time was 26.00, and the 400 meter hurdles at 1:12.25.

Schock, joined by Aisha Zaffino, Emma McKenzie, and Tiana Culmer, set the school record in the 4x100 with a time of 50.69.

For the men’s team, Nathan Mathern also set school records in the 100 meters and the 200 meters in the Dr. Tom Johnson Open meet. Mathern’s time in the 100 meters was an impressive 10.40, while his 200 meter time was equally impressive at 21.11.
