Eric Hasby Earns National Runner of the Week Honor

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association named Bismarck State College freshman runner, Eric Hasby, NJCAA DII Men’s athlete of the week.

At the recent Mount Marty Invitational, Hasby ran the 8k race in a time of 26:20.90. A time that placed him in 6th place against a field of runners entirely made up of four-year colleges and universities.

This is the first time in Bismarck State College history that a runner has earned this honor.

Hasby’s efforts, combined with his teammates, were enough to get the Mystics third place in the Lancer Invitational in Yankton, SD, even defeating the host team Mount Marty University.

Nov 11, the Mystics travel to Huntsville, Alabama to compete in the NJCAA DII National meet.
