The Bismarck State College (BSC) Mystics softball team delivered a spectacular performance on the diamond, sweeping Dakota County Technical College on perfect spring day for softball.
In the opening game, the Mystics dominated with a commanding 12-0 victory, highlighted by a brilliant no-hitter pitched by Kathryn Sliman. Sliman was untouchable on the mound, navigating through five innings with precision. She struck out 10 batters and allowed just one walk.
The offensive prowess of BSC was equally impressive. Five hitters recorded at least two hits, with Brielle Wrangham leading the charge. Wrangham's stellar performance included three hits, two runs batted in, and two runs scored, propelling the Mystics to a decisive win
In the closely contested second game, BSC emerged victorious once again, edging out Dakota County Technical College with a 5-4 win. Haily Molde earned the win on the mound, pitching six innings and allowing four runs, only one of which was earned.
Offensively, Brynn Arnold and Lexi Wesson were instrumental in securing the victory. Arnold contributed two hits and drove in three runs, while Wesson also tallied two hits, driving in two runs and crossing the plate twice.
The Mystics are 16-13-1 overall and 5-7 in conference.
