Coach Valerie Lesu was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. A high school volleyball athlete, Coach Lesu continued her athletic and academic career at NJCAA affiliated Northwest College in Powell, WY. After two years at Northwest, Coach Lesu transferred to University of Mary where she continued her volleyball career while earning a bachelor's degree in university studies with emphasis in social work. During her time at University of Mary, she was a student assistant, volunteer assistant, graduate assistant, and then an assistant coach for the Marauders. Coach Lesu then took the assistant volleyball and JV coaching positions at St. Marys Central High School before coming to BSC.
