Mystics Step Outside For First Outdoor Meet Of The Spring

The Bismarck State College team had an outstanding display to start their outdoor track and field season.

The men’s 200-meter race was a particular highlight, with Bismarck State athletes securing the top four positions. Nathan Mathern led the pack, clinching first place with a time of 21.72 seconds. Teammates Talen Farland, Quentin Lewis, and J’Noy Davis closely followed him, securing second, third, and fourth places respectively, demonstrating the depth and talent within the team.

In the women’s 200-meter race, Tiana Culmer and Aisha Zaffino represented Bismarck State with distinction, taking second and fourth places with times of 26.21 and 27.02 seconds respectively.

The men’s team continued to impress in other events as well. Karsten Hegney fought hard in the 400-meter race to secure a fourth-place finish, while Morgon Brindley showcased his endurance by taking second place in the men’s 1500-meter race with a time of 4:05.23. The men’s 4x100 meter relay team further underscored Bismarck State’s dominance by taking first place with a swift time of 41.39 seconds.

Not to be outdone, the women’s relay team also rose to the occasion, securing second place in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 50.57 seconds.
