Bismarck State College (BSC) proudly announces that two of its outstanding softball players have been recognized as the Mon-Dak Conference Players of the Week. This week's honors highlight the exceptional talents of Jada Walter and Kathryn Sliman, who have both delivered remarkable performances on the field.
Jada Walter, a sophomore third baseman from Bismarck State College, has been named the Mon-Dak Softball Player of the Week. Walter's impressive statistics from last week's seven games includes 9 hits in 20 plate appearances, resulting in a stellar .450 batting average. She had 2 doubles, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs, and she scored 7 runs. Demonstrating her versatility and athleticism, Walter also secured 1 walk and 2 stolen bases. Hailing from Jamestown, North Dakota, Jada is an alumnus of Jamestown High School.
The Mon-Dak Pitcher of the Week accolade has been awarded to Kathryn Sliman, a promising freshman pitcher at BSC. Sliman was commanding in her four appearances, during which she pitched an impressive 22 innings. Over these games, she allowed 27 hits, 9 earned runs, and walked 7 batters while striking out 25 opponents. Her efforts have earned her a 2.86 ERA and a commendable 3-1 record. Kathryn, who hails from Gooding, Indiana, is a graduate of Gooding High School.
