The Bismarck State College (BSC) Mystics softball team faced a challenging doubleheader against North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), resulting in two hard-fought losses. Despite their best efforts, the Mystics were unable to secure a victory, falling 2-13 in the first game and 1-5 in the second.
The opening game saw BSC struggle against a strong NDSCS lineup. The Mystics fell 2-13, with standout performances from Brielle Wrangham and Grace Grimm. Wrangham went 1 for 3 at the plate, hitting a home run that brought in both of BSC's runs for the game. Grimm also contributed by going 2 for 2.
In the second game, the Mystics showed resilience, but ultimately fell 1-5 to NDSCS. Savannah Gustavsson was a key player, going 2 for 3 and scoring the lone run for BSC. On the mound, Kathryn Silman pitched a complete game, lasting 7 innings and allowing five runs.
The Mystics are 12-9-1 overall and 3-3 in conference.
