Mystics Pull Away Late For First Win Of The Season

Despite early struggles, Bismarck State College women’s basketball team would take care of business in the second half to defeat Dakota College at Bottineau 67-48. Falling behind early by eleven points, the Mystics fought their way back to earn their first win of the season.

The Mystics would struggle to keep possession of the ball, having 30 total turnovers in the game, 14 in the first half and 16 in the second half. To counter this, the Mystics would have to lean on their own defense to complete the comeback, holding DCB to just 14% shooting in the second half.

Three Mystics would score in double digits led by Brynnlee Murdock, who would have a game high 19 points along with nine rebounds. Harys Beauchamp would dominate the boards, bringing in 14 rebounds with her 13 points. Piper Harris would score 14 points and have five assists.
