Jeff Schumacher named Head Coach of BSC wrestling program

Bismarck, N.D. – Five time finalist for National High School Wrestling Coach and member of the ND State Coaches Hall of Fame, Jeff Schumacher returns to lead the Bismarck State College Wrestling program as it resumes competition in the Fall of 2024.

Schumacher was selected as an All-American four times in his college wrestling career, earning the status twice while at Bismarck State College and then twice while at University of North Dakota.

His coaching career began with BSC in 1988 and was named National Coach of the Year in 1992. This was followed by stints at Minot High School and the University of North Dakota. Since 1997 he has coached in the Bismarck Public School system, where he has amassed a record of 390-28-3, placing him as the winningest coach in Class A High School history.

"Jeff is a national leader in the wrestling community and is the perfect fit to lead the Mystic Wrestling program resurgence. As a former Mystic athlete, and coach, Jeff understands the goals and culture we have at Bismarck State College," Athletic Director Myron Schulz.

Also joining the BSC Wrestling Staff as an Assistant Coach is Joe Schumacher.
