On the final home match of the regular season, Bismarck State College’s women’s volleyball team had much to celebrate. The team’s sophomores shined in a 3-0 victory over Lake Region State College, with final scores of 25-22, 25-19, and 25-21.

Paige McAllister and Staci Kempenich, both sophomores, led the charge for the Mystics’ offense. With 12 kills, McAllister held the team’s top spot, while Kempenich contributed 37 assists and three kills of her own.

The night was not only about the sophomores. Freshman Chelsa Krom’s five blocks led the team, and Shayna Roach’s three aces added to the victory.

 Bismarck State College is 11-0 in conference and 18-12 overall.

The Mystics travel to face North Dakota State College of Science on Oct. 16.
