Sparrow Awarded Mon-Dak Softball Player of the Week

The Bismarck State College softball team is proud to announce that the Mon-Dak Conference has awarded Daisy Sparrow, a standout freshman C/2B, as the Mon-Dak Softball Player of the Week. Sparrow, hailing from Mercer, North Dakota, and an alumna of Turtle Lake High School, has exhibited exceptional skill at the plate and in the field early in the 2024 season.

During the past week's games, Sparrow showcased incredible skill at the plate, boasting an impressive .917 batting average, going 11-12 with an offensive line that included four singles, four doubles, two home runs, four walks, and 11 RBI’s. Not only did she shine offensively, but she also demonstrated her defensive prowess by throwing out seven runners attempting to steal bases.

Sparrow's season stats further exemplify her talent, with a remarkable .682 batting average, four home runs, 18 RBI’s, and 11 runs scored.

The Mystics will be traveling to Florida to play eleven games from March 1 to March 6.
